Brian Tait, Online Marketing Manager
Founded in 1997, Easyspace has grown to become one of the largest web services providers in the UK, offering a wide range of hosting service to consumers and businesses alike. Services and products offered include domain registration, shared web hosting, virtual servers, dedicated servers and email, as well as offering related products including search engine submission tools, ecommerce solutions and internet security.
What unique selling points do you offer?
One of our key differentiators is the focus put on customer service between purchase and renewals, rather than simply focusing on the initial transaction and resulting renewal. We strive to help customers where possible which has resulted in the creation of various routes to support including an extensive FAQ section, live chat facility and a customer forum amongst other facilities.
On top of this, Easyspace can also boast to house customer websites and servers on its own network within its own datacenters – owned, managed and maintained by its parent company Iomart.
Describe the services you offer?
Web hosting is simply the provision of a service to allow customers (for personal or business reasons) to develop a presence online. From our point of view, this doesn't just mean the selling of servers, but also includes the service levels, customer support and additional services that we can offer to help the customer meet their online objectives.
Describe your target market?
Our customer base is wide spread, and so our products must aim to appeal to an equal spread in the market. With that in mind we provide a product portfolio that aims to offer suitable services and products for the hobbyist and home user through to offering higher specification products to varying levels of business customer.
How is your company planning for the future?
Our intention is to still be one of the top web service providers here in the UK and we're working towards making that a reality through continuing to be competitive with price and product, but also continually improving the customer service side of our business.
What benefits can you offer your customers?
Various reasons …. All servers are housed in our company owned datacenters, meaning we deal directly with your hardware rather than relying on 3rd parties. We offer varying hosting options (from shared through to dedicated), each with varying package levels and all with a choice of Windows or Linux – so there should be a package to suit all levels of web developer. Our support service is extensive, meaning any problems you do encounter will be rectified satisfactorily and in a timely manner.
How do you support your customers?
Our support service has grown significantly in recent times and now incorporates telephone support, an online ticketing system, an extensive online FAQs database covering most products and services, an on site live chat facility and a dedicated customer forum, accessible by all customers. We also use fairly standard channels (blog, system status, email alerts) to pro-actively communicate with customers about changes that may impact on service.
